This landing is part of SpaceX’s new agreement with The Bahamas, allowing the company to position droneships closer to launch sites.
“Our new landing collaboration with The Bahamas will enable Falcon 9 to launch to new orbital trajectories,” SpaceX announced on X on February 7.
Deputy Prime Minister of The Bahamas, Isaac Chester Cooper, shared his excitement:
“This is significant for The Bahamas in so many ways. It puts us on the cutting edge of innovation and gives our small nation of 400,000 people an opportunity to participate in the aerospace industry. This is huge.”
Starlink Mission Expands Global Internet Coverage
This launch was the 16th flight for this Falcon 9 booster, further proving SpaceX’s leadership in rocket reusability. Of its 15 previous launches, 9 were Starlink missions.
SpaceX live-streamed the entire event on their website and X (formerly Twitter). A replay of the launch is available on the official Starlink 10-12 mission page.
Why This SpaceX Mission Matters
Starlink, SpaceX’s global broadband initiative, aims to provide high-speed internet access worldwide, especially in remote and underserved areas. This latest mission brings the constellation closer to full global coverage.

SpaceX’s Record-Breaking Launch Schedule in 2025
This was the 21st Falcon 9 launch in 2025, with 15 dedicated to Starlink. SpaceX also launched a test flight of its Starship megarocket on January 16, marking Starship’s seventh flight overall.
On February 15, SpaceX set a new reusability record, launching a Falcon 9 booster for the 26th time—the highest for any rocket stage.
What’s Next for SpaceX?
With Starship development ongoing and Starlink expansion accelerating, SpaceX continues to lead the way in space innovation and global communication.
