A small aircraft crashed into two properties in Simi Valley, California, Saturday afternoon, leaving two individuals and a canine lifeless, police advised to CNN.

The aircraft slammed into the two-story, single-family properties round 2:10 p.m. – igniting a fireplace and sending big plumes of smoke into the air.
