Justice Division publishes listing of 35 “sanctuary” jurisdictions, vowing to convey extra immigration lawsuits


Washington — The Justice Division printed a listing of 35 “sanctuary” jurisdictions on Tuesday, vowing to convey lawsuits in opposition to states, counties and cities that restrict native cooperation with federal immigration brokers.

The Justice Division put 12 states on its listing — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington — and the District of Columbia. It additionally included Baltimore County, Maryland; Cook dinner County, Illinois; San Diego County, California; and San Francisco County, California, together with 18 cities from Seattle to Philadelphia.
