Daytona’s connection to aviation and motorsports isn’t new. In 1954, NASCAR held its first road course race at an airport in Linden, New Jersey. While other tracks like Talladega Superspeedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway also have adjacent airstrips, Daytona Beach International Airport is the only commercial airport that directly connects fans to a world-famous racing venue.
