4 coronal mass ejections are racing towards Earth and will spark spectacular northern lights this week


A practice of photo voltaic storms is barreling towards Earth, with 4 coronal mass ejections (CMEs) anticipated to hit over the following few days. Any potential influence may set off spectacular auroras in northern skies and probably even at mid-latitudes.

A number of CMEs launched from sunspot area AR4246 between Oct. 11 and 13 are forecast to achieve Earth between Oct. 15 and 17, in accordance with the Nationwide Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) House Climate Prediction Heart.
