JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Vince Whaley stepped into the water to play a shot and a 6-foot spectator with a full set of enamel was watching carefully. He nonetheless turned his again on the alligator and saved par.
Whaley figures the gator was about 20 toes away within the water when he performed his shot from the financial institution on the par-5 eleventh gap Sunday within the Sanderson Farms Championship.
